Disneyland Vacation
This year as an early Christmas present we took a trip to Disneyland. The park is gorgeous during Christmas. It was Christmas everywhere. There were huge Christmas trees, wreathes and Christmas music played at the park all day. At the end of each day they had a parade and fireworks. After the fireworks "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" played and it would snow in the park. We spent 2 fun filled days there. The first day we had lunch with the princesses. That was hilarious! At one point Leah made a mad dash for Cinderella and attacked here with a hug. The rest of the time we played and went on ALL the rides. We got to meet almost all the characters. Leah was funny because she attacked all the characters. She was like an animal looking for prey. She watch them carefully and them when the coast was clear she would run up and hug them. At one point she got a hold of Eeyore and wouldn't let go.
On the 3rd day we went to the beach. The weather was beautiful. The girls loved the sand and water. Right before we left Leah got really brave and went out too far. A wave scooped her up and knocked her down. You can see how upset she is in the picture.
I was so sad to come home. Disneyland brings out the lost child in me. I was almost giddy the whole time at the park. I am sure I walked around with a smile on my face all day.
P.S. The park was not at all crowded. If you ever want to take a trip to Disneyland do it during the first half of December.

Austin's first 10K race
This last Saturday I ran a 10k with my sister-in-law Karen. Two of our other friends (Lance Martin and Jake Oldham) ran the half marathon. It was so fun! I finished in 1:00:12. When I came around the last turn and saw my family waiting there for me holding up signs I got tears in my eyes. I was so proud of myself that I actually finished. Karen finished third in her age group. YEAH! Congrats to her! I think I will run it again in 2009. I have to be honest when I decided to do this race I hated the training. Then, the more I ran the more I loved running. I challenge everyone to at least try running once!

The BIG Pumpkin patch at the Bellagio in Las Vegas
For Family Home Evening we went to the Bellagio atrium. It is really cool. This is a picture of a tunnel with pumpkins and other "pumpkiny" things growing out of it. On our way up Kennedy said, "Mom, I don't want to go in there! Is there a witch?" I guess this tunnel does kind of look like some thing from The Wizard of Oz.

I am at it again. I have to share this story! Kids say the funniest things!
I have to blog about this picture. It was taken back early in the summer. We were at Mount Charleston playing in the meadow. Some of the kids found a couple bushes FULL of lady bugs. When Kennedy went over to check it out she looked up at me with her serious face and said, "Mom! Look! They're having family home evening!"

Nothing can top this 1st post!
What can I Say....
Since the weather has been so beautiful we have been going to the park ALOT. Most of the parks do not have restrooms, so with toddlers it can be tricky. Kennedy obviously didn't let the fact that our park across the street didn't have a bathroom, but she did decide to take matters into her own hands!
This picture was taken by one of my friends. Kennedy had no clue!
